From what I know, there is currently no legit way to download another persons game map to your console. The only way to use another persons map is to join their game.

They should add a patch so players can download other peoples maps, that would make a lot of people on here happy. It would also get more people who don't play Minecraft on the or or PC to play it on the

This is something that should be addressed by Microsoft AND Mojang.
Entire websites are made that have every conceivable map type uploaded for public use, and each is so intricate that I imagine it took a team of people days to make it. Some of the redstone circuitry I've seen has been done by people who work as electricians in real life.
It should be allowed, and it sucks that it technically isn't. Most people won't risk a profile or console ban if they know it's not allowed. I think if it's posted in a public domain, it's fair game for public use. People who are proud of what they made should be allowed to share it. I have a server that runs most of the time, even when I'm away, because my friends love my maps and server, and if I leave, so does their game.
This needs to be addressed further and a final verdict rendered as to whether it's truly modding your profile to transfer a map file on a USB drive. If it's allowed in the PC version, the game developers probably intended it to be allowed for other versions of the game. Mojang and 4J should be making this call, not Microsoft. If I developed a console game, I would want it to have all the features I intended it to have available to the end user.
If this doesn't get settled, someone at Microsoft is going to get greedy, pay people to develop these maps, and then turn around and start charging for them to make it legit, the same way they charge to download songs for guitar hero and rock band, or download MAP PACKS for any FPS game.
If you don't think that can happen, just look at all of the security features built into the new console.

Hey there Dyno! I definitely hear you on that one. (I am a fan of Minecraft both on PC and Xbox.) I'd suggest it to the developers, and you can also put it in our wishlist forums here: diseinuak4web.net Cheers!
