When you find a picture or document on the Internet that you want to save or edit, you need to download it in your Web browser. This can be accomplished by either clicking a dedicated download link, or right-clicking on the item and choosing the download option.

The downloaded file will be saved to your computer, typically in the default download location for the browser you use. In the case of Google Chrome, recently-downloaded files are usually shown in a horizontal bar at the bottom of the window, too. But if you accidentally close that bar, or if you have changed the location of your download folder, then you may be struggling to locate the files you have chosen to download. Instructions

1. Open Google Chrome.
2. Click the Customize and control Google Chrome button at the top-right of the window.
3. Select the Downloads option.
4. View your recent downloads.

Notes

You can also open this Downloads window by pressing Ctrl + J on your keyboard while Chrome is open.

You can sort files by date in a folder in Windows by right-clicking inside the folder, choosing Sort by, then choosing Date modified.

Step 1: Open the Chrome browser.

Step 2: Click the Customize and control Google Chrome button at the top-right of the window.

Step 3: Select the Downloads option.

Here you can view the files that you have recently downloaded. Note that if you click the Show in folder button you will open a Windows Explorer window where you can view the file in the folder where it is currently located.

You can also open the Downloads window by typing the Ctrl + J keyboard shortcut.

If all of your downloaded files are saved in the same folder, you can sort that folder in Windows by right-clicking in an empty space in the folder, selecting Sort by, then choosing the Date modified option.
