In some instances, it can be useful to download a ZIP file of the component parts of an Adobe Connect recording. The .FLV files from the screen-capture, Audio and Video streams, which can be played by the VLC Media Player, can sometimes be used to rescue a recording gone bad. (Note, you must be logged into the server in the same browser with host permissions for the room in which the recording was made.)
To download a .ZIP file from a recording, start with the URL to play the recording, but append the following switches, which specify a new name for the downloaded .ZIP.
In this example, we presume the recording URL ends with the random recording string p12x3y4z56, and we want to name the ZIP file with an easier name, "recordingzip":
diseinuak4web.net?download=zip
Then you download that .zip file, expand it, and examine the various files.
The easiest to identify are the largest .flv files, which are probably the audio and video files.
Those can sometimes be converted to .mp4 by software or a website diseinuak4web.net
An Adobe engineer created an app that attempts to REPAIR the .zip file recording, with which I have had some success:
