How to know files downloaded on a particular day

Windows keeps track of all files visited on a computer and organizes them based on user. From documents to media files, you can check to see which files an employee has opened while at work. The list is designed to help users quickly return to recently accessed files, and is usually erased during routine computer maintenance. You can also check to see when specific files were modified to keep track of whether employees are actively working on projects.

Type “recent” into the run box and press “Enter” to open the list of recently visited files.

View recently opened files from other users on the same computer by clicking inside the File Explorer location bar and replacing the current user's name with a different user.

Alternately, type “C:\Users\Username\Recent” into the location bar in (omitting quotes) and press “Enter.”

Open the folder containing the file or files you want to check.

Click “Date Modified” to sort the list of files by the date and time the file was last modified.

Click the arrow beside “Date Modified” for an advanced filter to only search for a specific date range.
